The pilot of a small, private plane survived a plane crash in Seligman last week.

The 56-year-old made the call to authorities reporting that his plane had gone down. He also was able to say that he suffered a head injury and was very cold, but was unable to describe his location.

Helicopter crews were sent out to search for the man. He was eventually found when officials used GPS coordinates on his cell phone to pinpoint his location. The man was found alert and conscious and was flown to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
