A car accident on a highway near Florence, Arizona resulted in the deaths of three people. Twenty-three-year-old Tiffaney Steward of Phoenix and Seventeen-year-old Garvin Hardie of Chinle were both killed when their car crashed head on into another vehicle driven by twenty-six-year-old Veronica Valenzuela of Tucson.

A passenger in Valenzuela's car, sixty-five-year-old Patricia Carrion, also of Tucson, was killed. Valenzuela escaped with minor injuries. Justin Juan, 27, a passenger in the vehicle driven by Stewart was also injured.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety said the cars collided and became fully engulfed in flames around 9 a.m. Saturday on State Route 79. ADPS officials declined to say whether impairment was a factor, as the investigation is ongoing.
