Woman injured after trian accident in Sun City

According to Sun City officials, a 71-year-old woman was injured after being involved in a train accident.

The accident occurred last week when the woman was in her vehicle on the train tracks at 99th and Grand Avenues when the train collided with her vehicle.

The woman was taken to a local trauma center and she was in critical condition at the time. Authorities are investigating why her car was on the tracks at the time of the accident.

Driver crashes into side of train

A driver was injured after crashing into a train when he failed to see the train at the railroad crossing.

According to Pinal County police, the 30-year-old man was driving westbound when he passed a deputy who said that the man appeared to be texting while he was driving.

A frieght train was at the railroad crossing and the man was unable to stop in time and crashed into the train. The lights were on and the rail was down at the crossing. The man and his son had to be cut from the car and he suffered a brain injury as a result of the wreck.

Semi-truck involved in accident with train

A train and semi-truck accident in Phoenix is currently being investigated officials.

The accident occurred at 11th Avenue and Lincoln Street when the train caused the semi-truck to tip over on its driver's side. The truck had been carrying corn syrup, but it is thought that the truck had unloaded when it stopped in Glendale and it was empty at the time of the accident.

The cause of the collision is not yet known, but crews did bring in tractors in order to move the truck off of the tracks so that the train could continue to move.
