On November 3, a crash occurred at the corner of Cave Creek Rd and Pinnacle Creek Rd. Two people were in the car at the time of the crash. The passenger, however, found his way out of the ditch the car rolled into and was on the street when police found him.

The man told police that the driver was still in the car, but police did not perform an extensive search of the area. The teenage driver was not found until 4 days later. Now, his father is seeking a settlement from the city for their negligence. He says that they might have saved his son's life had they found him in time.
